		<description>@Kyt I&#039;m not sure what else you may have seen with the house finches.  They do come in several shades of red but I&#039;ve never seen any with green in them.  Could there have been goldfinches or pine siskins with them?  Several finch species often travel together in flocks.</description>

		<description>Lovely article about the House finches. I&#039;m near Amarillo, TX and we have lots of them here. I recently saw several flying in and out of a hanging basket in town in front of my favorite bakery. Many of them had bright yellow and green mixed in with their red. Could they be canary/finch hybrids?
