You have displayed some of the very best items available for squirrel proofing bird feeders. Baffles are particularly useful for feeders which are pole mounted. And the cage feeders are absolutely perfect. Great choices and recommendations. Applause!

A friend of mine has invented a truly
squirrel proof bird feeder that really
works. The feeder can be mounted
to a tree trunk or a structure (no hanging)
and it can be refilled with one hand
(no disassembly).

The outside ring with the large baffle spins
when a squirrel steps on it and it spooks them out. They can't get to the food from underneath because of the baffle.
It uses a simple skateboard wheel bearing as its only moving part (no batteries or power)
I've seen footage of this feeder and its truly squirrel proof.

Hope this helps ;)

I love the squirrels and can watch them for hours. We have only 2 species here and the Ground Squirrel is only found in arid regions.
